Abstract:
It is intended to provide a patch which satisfies both physical property of a base agent including adhesiveness to the skin, a water-holding capacity, shape retention, hardness and the like, and effective drug-releasing property. The patch of the invention is characterized by comprising the base agent for the patch containing the following (a) to (e) as essential components and a transdermally absorbable drug or an aqueous gel plaster containing a cosmetic component applied to a support. (a) A water-soluble copolymer (which is a copolymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing 1 to 30% by mole of a monomer selected from 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid, styrenesulfonic acid and N-vinyl pyrrolidone, 55 to 99% by mole of acrylic acid and 0 to 15% by mole of another monomer copolymerizable with the above monomers and is in a fine powder, and in which 20 to 60% by mole of acidic residues are neutralized and the content of unreacted monomers is 0.5% by weight or less), (b) a polyhydric alcohol, (c) a polyvalent metal compound, (d) a surfactant, and (e) water.
