Abstract:
The disclosed pattern discrimination device is provided with a setting unit for setting at least one area within a three-dimensional space in three-dimensional image data; a feature value calculation unit for calculating a pixel feature value for each pixel of the three-dimensional image data; a matrix calculation unit for (1) obtaining at least one three-dimensional point within the area for which the position is displaced by a specific mapping from a three-dimensional point of interest within the area, and (2) calculating a co-occurrence matrix representing the occurrence frequency of a combination of a pixel feature value of the point of interest within the area and a pixel feature value of each of the mapped points; and a discrimination unit for recognizing, on the basis of the combination of the specific mapping and the co-occurrence matrix, and a training sample of an object to be detected that has been learned beforehand, whether or not the object to be detected has been captured within the area.
