Abstract:
Provided is a patterned retardation film that decreases the occurrence of crosstalk caused by the optical properties of a supporting film. The patterned retardation film has at least a support film (14) that is optically anisotropic and a patterned retardation layer (12) that is provided on the support film and that has first and second retardation regions of which the in-plane slow axis directions and/or the phase differences of the two retardation regions differ from each other. Scattering of the in-plane slow axis directions of the support film is 3° or higher.
