Abstract:
In order to obtain a peak position calculation device whereby a peak position in a light reception intensity distribution of reflected light can be detected with high precision, the present invention is provided with a peak value detection unit 221 for detecting a plurality of candidates for the peak value of the intensity of laser light received by an imaging unit comprising an imaging element formed from a plurality of pixels, and a peak position calculation unit 224 for calculating an approximation function for approximating the intensity distribution of the laser light using the plurality of peak values detected by the peak value detection unit 221, the peak position calculation unit 224 calculating the approximation function so that the error between the intensity values of the plurality of peak value candidates and the value of the approximation function is minimized.
