Abstract:
A pedal arrangement structure of an automobile comprises an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal. The pedal arrangement structure is characterized in that the brake pedal is disposed 0-100 mm away from the accelerator pedal in the longitudinal direction and 50-100 mm away from the accelerator pedal in the lateral direction with respect to the driver. The time that elapsed before the brake pedal is depressed after the accelerator pedal is released can be shortened. Since the driver does not need to largely bend the joint in the releasing/depressing operation, the driver can perform a comfortable releasing/ depressing operation. Since the releasing/depressing operation can be performed even if a space is absent between the body and the leg of the driver, a driver's seat can be designed without taking the space between the body and the leg into consideration. The driver does not need to perform a constrained operation in the releasing/depressing operation of the pedals.
