Abstract:
This pedal device for a vehicle is provided with a pedal arm (11), an expansion/contraction device (12), and a link mechanism (13). The pedal arm (11) is configured to rotate around the central axis of a pedal fixed shaft (14) when stepped on. The expansion/contraction device (12) is located closer to the front of the vehicle than is the pedal arm (11). The link mechanism (13) is configured to convert the rotational motion of the pedal arm (11) into the expansion/contraction motion of the expansion/contraction device (12). The link mechanism (13) comprises a connecting link (16) and a rotating lever (20). The connecting link (16) connects the pedal arm (11) and the expansion/contraction device (12). The upper end of the rotating lever (20) is connected to the portion between the longitudinal ends of the connecting link (16).
