Abstract:
A pedal-driven vehicle, comprising: a chassis (100), and a vertical shaft (110), a first horizontal shaft (120) and a second horizontal shaft (130) installed in that order along a longitudinal shaft of the chassis. A drive wheel assembly comprises two unidirectional wheels (310) capable of forward rotation provided on two sides of a longitudinal shaft of the chassis, and a drive wheel shaft (320) connecting the two unidirectional wheels, wherein a central position of the drive wheel shaft is rotatably connected to the vertical shaft. A trailing wheel assembly is connected to the second horizontal shaft. Two pedals (200) are respectively provided on two sides of the longitudinal shaft of the chassis. The two pedals are respectively and movably connected to the two ends of the first horizontal shaft. A linkage mechanism links the two pedals and the drive wheel shaft (320). When a front end of one of the foot pedals is subject to a force and depressed, a linkage action of the linkage mechanism causes the front end of the other foot pedal to rise up and drives the wheel shaft to rotate along a direction proximal to the foot pedal with the depressed front end. When a rear end of the foot pedal is subject to a force and depressed, a frictional force is generated against a trailing wheel to initiate braking. The pedal-driven vehicle can move forward, steer, and brake using the foot pedal.
