Abstract:
A pedal misapplication suppression accelerator, comprising a body (10), which comprises a first connecting slot (11), a second connecting slot (12), a microcontroller (13), and a buzzer (14). The first connecting slot (11) is used for electrical connection with a power supply of an automobile. The second connecting slot (12) provides electrical connection with a gas pedal of the automobile, so that multiple travel signals generated during actuation of the gas pedal of the automobile are transmitted to the microcontroller (13). The microcontroller (13) provides and sets a trigger condition DEF/RES＝X and a release condition. Spacing parameters of the gas pedal are 0-30%, 30-60%, and 60-100%, respectively. When X is greater than or equal to the maximum value of each travel signal, the microcontroller (13) sends a gas pedal idling signal to an engine control unit of the automobile to restore an engine of the automobile to an idle state, and meanwhile, the buzzer (14) is started to make a sound effect, whereby achieving the purpose of preventing the automobile from accelerating when stepping on the gas pedal mistakenly. When the travel signals of the gas pedal are reduced by at least 10%, the microcontroller (13) releases the gas pedal idling signal. Also disclosed is an operating method of the pedal misapplication suppression accelerator. The pedal misapplication suppression accelerator can ameliorate the problem of sudden unintended acceleration of a vehicle.
