Abstract:
Disclosed is an improvement to a pedal made of resin which is integrally attached to the rotary shaft of a braking cam to brake a caster. The structure comprises a bearing section that has a shaft hole into which a rotary shaft is inserted, a pedal space having the bearing section approximately in the center and that has a pair of stepped sections extending to the left and right, a pair of pressure surfaces having a top face roughly in the form of an inclined surface wherein the end at the bearing section is positioned lower and the forward end is positioned higher by the stepped sections, a pair of projecting pieces that are separated vertically by a gap and that connect with the shaft hole through a grooved section, the forward end of which is open, an upper and lower pair of holes for screw attachment that pass vertically through the pair of projecting pieces and into which fastening screws are screwed, a shaft hole cover made of a metal material and that is fit into the shaft hole, and a reinforcing member that comprises an upper and lower pair of pieces that protrude as a pair separated vertically and that are inserted along the top and bottom wall surfaces of the grooved section.
