Description:
A PEELER OF CORNI FRUCTUS TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a peeler of Corni Fructus for separating a seed and a flesh of Corni Fructus, material for a Chinese medicine, and jujube, and peeling gingko nut.

BACKGROUND ART After separating a seed and a flesh of Corni Fructus, the flesh is dried and the dried flesh is used as material for a Chinese medicine. Since there is no apparatus suitable to separate the seed and the flesh of the Corni Fructus, a user crunches or crushes the Corni Fructus in a primitive manner. Such a manner is very unsanitary and the yield of the flesh is insufficient for its demand. Additionally, there is much loss of the flesh since the flesh cannot be fully separated from the seed of the Corni Fructus.

In order to resolve these problems, Korean Patent Registration No. 10- 0044835 and Korean Utility Model Publication No. 20-0103380, issued to the present applicant, discloses an apparatus of peeling Corni Fructus, which can peel a large amount of Corni Fructus within a short time. However, the apparatus of the registered patent is complex and has a strong probability of mechanical malfunction.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to a peeler of Corni Fructus that substantially obviates one or more problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the related art.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a peeler of Corni Fructus, in which Corni Fructus is clearly peeled using a simple apparatus having a low probability of mechanical malfunction. The apparatus is small-sized and easily installed. Additionally, the apparatus can be used to peel gingko nut.

In accordance with the present invention, a peeler of Corni Fructus supplies Corni Fructus to a space between a driving roller and a rack roller each having spiral grooves, discharges a flesh of the Corni Fructus through the space between the driving roller and the rack roller, and discharges a seed of the Corni Fructus to a seed outlet by moving the seed along the driving roller and the rack roller. An oblique-angle protrusion surface is formed in an inner side of a pulley for transferring a rotational power of a motor to the driving roller. On the oblique-angle protrusion surface, a press bar is elastically fixed to a spring, such that a press piece fixed to the press bar presses the Corni Fructus. A roller cleaning plate fixed to a fixing plate in a lower portion of the rollers is detachably installed. Elements for transferring the power of the motor to the rollers are simplified, and a cleaning operation and a replacement of the roller cleaning plate are conveniently. Further, it is easy to drive the press bar for pressing the Corni Fructus on an upper portion of the rollers.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described

in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

An upper portion of a body 1 with a handle 2 is partially opened, and a driving roller 10 and a rack roller 11 are spaced apart from each other at the opened portion and rotated in a meshed direction. The driving roller 10 has spiral grooves 12 and intervals of the spiral grooves 12 become wider toward an end portion at which seeds are discharged.

The driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 are meshed with rack gears 7 and 8 at one end. The rack gear 7 for driving the driving roller 10 is rotated by a rotational power of a pulley 22, and the rack gear 8 is rotated by a rotational power of the driving roller 10. The interval between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 can be regulated using an interval regulating screw 5.

A rotational power of a motor 20 is transferred to the pulley 22 through a belt 21. An oblique-angle protrusion surface 23 is formed on an inner side of the pulley 22. If the motor 20 is operated by contacting a press bar 25 elastically fixed to a spring 24 with the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23, the press bar 25 moves along an inclined portion of the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23 in right and right directions.

The press bar 25 is installed in an upper portion between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 and spaced apart by a predetermined interval. Press pieces 26 are fixed to the press bar 25 at regular intervals and disposed between the driving

roller 10 and the rack roller 11. Therefore, when Corni Fructus moves on the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, the Corni Fructus is thrust into a space between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11.

A seed outlet 14 is installed in side portions of the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, and a flesh outlet 13 is installed in a lower portion. The flesh passing through the gap between driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 is gathered in the flesh outlet 13 and the seed moving along the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 toward one end is gathered in the seed outlet 14 and discharged.

A Corni Fructus inlet 3 is fixed on an upper portion of the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11. If a cover 4 is opened and the Corni Fructus is put in the Corni Fructus inlet 3, the Corni Fructus discharged from a lower portion of the Corni Fructus inlet 3 is dropped between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11.

A roller cleaning plate 15 fixed to a fixing plate 16 is closely contacted in the lower portion of the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, and fixed through a major groove 17 formed on the fixing plate 16. Therefore, the roller cleaning plate 15 is closely contacted with the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 under an appropriate pressure.

Meanwhile, if the Corni Fructus inlet 3 is disposed at a middle portion and the spiral grooves 12 are disposed not to face each other in a state that the spiral grooves 12 are formed on the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 to make the Corni Fructus

face both sides in the middle portion, the Corni Fructus introduced from the Corni Fructus inlet 3 moves toward both sides and the seed is discharged.

According to the present invention, if a jujube instead of the Corni Fructus is put in the Corni Fructus inlet 3 and an interval between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 is widened, a seed of the jujube can be separated. In this manner, if a gingko nut is put in the Corni Fructus inlet 3, the gingko nut can be peeled.

A process of separating a seed of the Corni Fructus in the peeler constructed as above will be described below.

First, Corni Fructus boiled down is heated together with water. Before water is boiled, the Corni Fructus is taken out of water and put in the Corni Fructus inlet 3. A switch 6 is turned on to operate the motor 20, and a rotational force is transferred via the belt 21 to thereby rotate the pulley 22. As a result, the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 are rotated.

If rotating the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, the Corni Fructus moves along the spiral grooves 12 in a right direction and inserted between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11. At this time, since the Corni Fructus is larger than the gap between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, a seed of the Corni Fructus is not passed but only the flesh is passed between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11.

At this time, if the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 are wet with warm water, a seed of the Corni Fructus is effectively separated. Additionally, due to the

rotation of the pulley 22, the press bar 25 is contacted with the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23, such that the press bar 25 moves in right and left directions along the inclined surface of the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23.

If the press bar 25 moves in right and left directions, the press pieces 26 move in right and left directions to push the Corni Fructus into the gap between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11, thereby effectively separating the flesh and the seed of the Corni Fructus.

The interval between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 can be adjusted using the interval adjusting screw 5. The flesh discharged through the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 is gathered through the flesh outlet 13. The seed moved in the right direction (in the drawing) along the space between the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 is gathered through the seed outlet 14.

Meanwhile, Corni Fructus fluid stained on the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 are wiped away by the roller cleaning plate 15 made of polyester, and the roller cleaning plate 15 is fixed to the fixing plate 16 and separated from the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11. Since the fixing plate 16 is fixed by the major groove 17, a contact degree between the roller cleaning plate 15 and the driving roller 10 or the rack roller 11 can be adjusted by changing a coupling position of the fixing plate 16.

It is profitable to fully separate the roller cleaning plate 15 when an operation of the roller cleaning plate 15 is completed, and then install it before starting the

cleaning operation. If the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23 is greased, a contact resistance is reduced when the oblique-angle protrusion surface 23 is contacted with urethane fixed in a front end of the press bar 25.

In case the present invention is constructed as shown in FIGs. 7 and 8, the Corni Fructus inlet 3 is installed in the middle of the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11. Meanwhile, the rack roller 11 is installed in one side of the driving roller 10 with the spiral grooves 12. The driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11 are separately installed to cross each other. Therefore, the Corni Fructus can be separated into the seed and the flesh while moving the Corni Fructus toward both sides of the driving roller 10 and the rack roller 11. In this case, a speed of separating the seed from the Corni Fructus is increased.

Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purpose, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as defined in the accompanying claims.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY According to a peel of the present, when separating a seed from Corni Fructus, a large amount of seed of Corni Fructus can be separated using an apparatus with a simple and compact structure. Due to the simplified structure, a cause of malfunction

can be reduced remarkably.

In addition to the above advantage that there is no frequent malfunction, the peel according to the present invention has another advantage that a large amount of Corni Fructus can be processed. Further, the roller cleaning plate for cleaning the driving roller and the rack roller can be conveniently replaced.
