Abstract:
A peeling machine is provided with: a tool holder (22) mounted to a rotating cylinder (1) so as to be slidable in the radial direction (R) thereof, the rotating cylinder (1) allowing a round bar-shaped workpiece (W) to be inserted therethrough; and a pressing member (3) mounted to the rotating cylinder (1) so as to be slidable in the axial direction thereof. The pressing surface (32a) of the pressing member (3) and the pressing receiving surface (22a) of the tool holder (22) are caused to be in sliding contact with each other along a tilted direction in a vertical cross-section parallel to the sliding direction (Y) of the tool holder (22), thereby causing the tool holder (22) to slide radially inward in the vertical cross-section when the pressing member (3) slides axially outward (Ra). A hook member (6) with which the tool holder (22) engages so as not to slide radially inward due to the weight thereof is mounted to the pressing member (3).
