Abstract:
Provided are a penetration depth measurement device for measuring the penetration installation depth of a pile provided to penetrate a seabed or the ground, and a pile to which same is applied, the device comprising a plurality of measurement modules provided at preset intervals on the outer or inner surface of the pile, wherein the measurement modules comprise optical fibers provided in the longitudinal direction of the pile, and fixing plates, which are attached to the outer or inner surface of the pile and are provided on the optical fibers at preset intervals so as to fix the optical fibers to the pile, and thus the plurality of measurement modules are provided on the pile at preset intervals in a longitudinal direction, and, as the measurement modules are sequentially damaged or broken due to contact with the seabed or ground, the the change in the quantity of light outputted from the optical fibers is measured to measure the penetration depth of the pile.
