Abstract:
This pentamethylene diisocyanate production method comprises: a reaction step for reacting carbonyl chloride and pentamethylene diamine with each other so as to obtain a reaction mixture containing pentamethylene diisocyanate and containing tar components that include a chlorine-containing component; a heat treatment step for subjecting the reaction mixture to heat treatment; and a purification step for purifying the reaction mixture after the heat treatment step so as to separate the pentamethylene diisocyanate and the tar components from each other, wherein, in the heat treatment step, the reaction mixture is subjected to the heat treatment without removal of the tar components from the reaction mixture.
