Abstract:
Provided is a peptide that specifically binds to IgY. A peptide characterized by: containing an amino acid sequence that consists of 17 amino acid residues and is represented by a formula: (X1-3)-C-(X5)-W-(X7-11)-W-(X13)-C-(X15-17) [wherein X1 and X3, among X1-3, and X15-17 independently represent an arbitrary amino acid residue other than a cysteine residue; X2 represents an arbitrary amino acid residue that may be a cysteine residue; C represents a cysteine residue; X5 represents an amino acid residue selected from among T, D, V, S and E; W represents a tryptophan residue; X7-11 represents an amino acid sequence (S, T, R or N)-(S, A, K or R)-(I, A, V, T or G)-(V, Y, T, R or S)-(G or D); and X13 represents an amino acid residue selected from among V, L, D, S, M, T and R]; a disulfide bond being formed between cysteine residues at the 4- and 14-positions; and being capable of binding to tri-IgY.
