Title:
PERACETIC ACID FORMULATION CONCENTRATION DETERMINATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/039228
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a peracetic acid formulation concentration determination method capable of accurately determining a peracetic acid formulation concentration, in a simple and quick manner. [Solution] The peracetic acid formulation concentration determination method includes: disposing a plurality of color reference samples side-by-side with an optically transparent container housing a solution of interest comprising a peracetic acid formulation solution having a predetermined concentration of a reagent added thereto, wherein the peracetic acid formulation is for use in food, and the peracetic acid formulation concentration is in the range of 50 mg/L to 500 mg/L; and visually identifying which of the plurality of color reference samples matches a transmitted beam which has been transmitted through the container, thereby allowing the concentration of the peracetic acid formulation contained in the solution of interest to be determined. The plurality of color reference samples exhibit colors corresponding respectively to a plurality of solutions of interest, including solutions with different concentrations of peracetic acid formulation, and the plurality of solutions of interest corresponding to the color reference samples each exhibit an absorbance of 1.5 for light of a different wavelength.
