Abstract:

Novel perfluoropolyether derivative having at least one ester bond and being useful as a lubricant whose decomposition temperature is 300°C or higher is obtained by performing esterification reaction between a perfluoropolyether diol having hydroxyls at both ends thereof and represented by the formula (1) and a perfluoropolyether dicarboxylic acid having carboxyls at both ends thereof and represented by the formula (2): HOCH₂-R-CH₂OH (1) HOOC-R’-COOH (2) wherein each of R and R’ represents a perfluoropolyether group.
