Abstract:
A periodically polarized crystal (11) and an optical parameter amplifier. The periodically polarized crystal (11) comprises a first non-linear region, a linear region, and a second non-linear region. The first non-linear region and the second non-linear region are each have a periodic domain inversion structure. In the optical parameter amplifier using the periodically polarized crystal (11), an optical parameter is amplified, idle frequency light serving as a byproduct, incident signal light and pumping light are transmitted in different directions, so that the idle frequency light is separated from the signal light, accordingly, energy backflow occurring after the optical parameter amplifier enters saturation amplification is suppressed, and performance of the optical parameter amplifier is remarkably improved.
