Abstract:
A peripheral unit of a programmable controller, which comprises storage means for storing a range of devices assigned to each sequence program; and means for checking a device range, wherein the means for checking device range sequentially extracts, from a sequence program, instructions that specify a series of devices and device identifiers that designate a series of regions, and develops the devices in the regions, so that it can be checked whether the devices in the regions are in the range of devices stored in the storage means.
