Abstract:
According to a periphery monitoring device of the present invention, field of view information of a driver of a peripheral vehicle nearby a host vehicle is received, and it is determined whether the host vehicle is outside the field of view of the peripheral vehicle on the basis of the information. Accordingly, the current, dynamic field of view range of the driver of the peripheral vehicle actually travelling nearby the host vehicle can be known, and the field of view range can be obtained with increased accuracy, enabling appropriate notification of notification information that is really required while suppressing the notification of unnecessary notification information.
