Abstract:
A periphery monitoring device is provided with: an image capture unit for generating a captured image by capturing an image of the periphery of a mobile object; and a control unit for generating, from the captured image, a periphery image viewed from a virtual viewpoint set at a relative position to the present position of the mobile object with the movement of the mobile object, generating a display image obtained by superimposing a mobile object image indicating the position of the mobile object on the periphery image, and displaying the display image while fixing the position of the mobile object image within the display image.
