Abstract:

In a permanent magnet-embedded electric motor (1), a permanent magnet (19) has a radial direction inner-side contour surface (43) of the magnet, a radial direction outside contour surface (45) of the magnet, and a pair of side edge contour surfaces (47) of the magnet. A magnet insertion hole (21) has a radial direction inner-side contour surface (53) of the insertion hole, a radial direction outside contour surface (55) of the insertion hole, and a pair of side edge contour surfaces (57) of the insertion hole. The radial direction outside contour surface of the magnet and the radial direction outside contour surface of the insertion hole are each constituted by a first arc surface. The radial direction inner-side contour surface of the magnet and the radial direction inner-side contour surface of the insertion hole are each constitute by a second arc surface and at least one straight surface for preventing the permanent magnet from moving along the magnet insertion hole shaped in an arc.
