Abstract:
Provided is a permanent magnet rotary electric machine, provided with: a stator (2), provided with a stator core (6) and an armature winding (8) arranged in the stator core (6); and a rotor (3), provided with a rotor core (12) and permanent magnets (14) embedded in the rotor core (12) and corresponding in quantity to the number of poles of the rotor (3), and arranged opposite the stator (2) with a gap. In the permanent magnet rotary electric machine, if a magnetic flux axis of the permanent magnets (14) is set as a d axis and an axis orthogonal to the d axis in terms of an electrical angle is set as a q axis, on the q axis, the rotor core (12) is provided with recesses (11) sunken towards the inner circumferential side, a recess (11) being formed from two linear portions (11b, 11c) along the thickness direction of the permanent magnets (14) and a curved portion (11a) connected to each end portion of the rotor inner circumferential side of the two linear portions (11b, 11c). The angle (θp1) between end portions of magnetic pole faces of the outer circumferential side of a permanent magnet (14) and the angle (θp2) between each end portion of the rotor outer circumferential side of the two linear portions (11b, 11c) have the relationship of 0.18 ≤ θp2/θp1 ≤ 0.5. The permanent magnet rotary electric machine outputs high torque even in a high speed range. Also provided is a compressor using the permanent magnet rotary electric machine.
