Abstract:
Provided is a permanent magnet rotating electric machine capable of coping with high-speed rotation and highly fluctuating torque by reducing eddy current loss and improving the centrifugal force endurance of a rotor. The permanent magnet rotating electric machine is provided with: a magnet portion (14) comprising a plurality of permanent magnets forming a plurality of sets each of which is attached annularly and which are disposed along an axial direction of a rotor (10); and a plurality of anti-scattering rings (16) press-fitted along the axial direction around the outer circumference of the magnet portion (14) forming the plurality of sets. The anti-scattering rings (16) each have: an insulation coating (16b) provided on both side surfaces contacting adjacent, other anti-scattering rings (16); a chamfer (16c) provided between the outer circumferential surface and one side surface; and an insulation coating (16d) provided on the chamfer (16c).
