Abstract:

In the present invention, a permanent magnet-type motor that delivers reliable motor control and is capable of using reluctance torque is obtained. Armature windings (12) comprise a plurality of sets of multiphase windings. A current is supplied from individual inverters respectively to each of the sets of armature windings (12). A permanent magnet (19) is disposed on a surface section of a rotor core (18) in the circumferential direction. The polarities of the adjacent permanent magnets (19) are mutually opposite. A magnetic-body protrusion section (46) is provided between adjacent permanent magnets (19), the protrusion section protruding from the rotor core (18). A non-magnetic gap section (47) is interposed between the protrusion section (46) and the permanent magnet (19) in the rotation direction.
