Title:
PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE MOTOR AND ELEVATOR DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/052901
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The motor (23) of a hoist is equipped with a rotor core (33) having incorporated therein permanent magnets (37) for forming magnetic poles. The inner peripheral surface of each magnetic pole of the rotor core (33) is convex so that a gap between it and a stator core (26) is smaller in the vicinity of the center of the magnetic pole and larger in the peripheral opposite ends. More specifically, of the inner peripheral surface of each magnetic pole, the central portion is a planar portion (33a) and the peripheral opposite ends are arcuate surface portions (33b). As a result, the magnetic flux distribution between the rotor core (33) and the stator core (26) approximates closely to a sine wave form, reducing the cogging torque.
