Abstract:
A perplexity calculation device (500) is provided with a weight coefficient calculation unit (501) for calculating, on the basis of a statistical language model for representing the probability that a word occurs for each of a plurality of text-constituting words which constitute text, a weight coefficient for correcting a word occurrence degree having a value which becomes greater as the probability of occurrence of the text-constituting word increases, on the basis of a word importance degree representing the degree that the text-constituting word is important; and a perplexity calculation unit (502) for calculating a perplexity for the text of the statistical language model on the basis of the calculated weight coefficient and the word occurrence degree.
