Abstract:
A person authentication system includes an authentication server storing biometric information for checking associated with the anonymous ID of a user, a biometric sensor for acquiring biometric information on the user, and a terminal for acquiring the anonymous ID stored in an electronic storage medium and transmitting the anonymous ID along with the biometric information acquired by the biometric sensor to the authentication server. The authentication server transmits information required to access the personal information stored in the electronic storage medium to the terminal when a predetermined degree of match between the biometric information acquired by the biometric sensor and the biometric information for checking corresponding to the anonymous ID is obtained.
