Abstract:
This person detection device comprises: a storage device that stores a background thermal image of a space; and a processing device that detects the presence/absence of a person in the space. The processing device: creates a current thermal image on the basis of current temperature information of the space; creates a difference thermal image including a difference temperature, which is the difference between the current temperature in the current thermal image and the background temperature in the background thermal image; creates a scatter diagram by plotting points corresponding to the background temperature and the difference temperature, setting the background temperature to one of the horizontal axis and the vertical axis and the difference temperature to the other; determines a threshold value on the basis of the scatter diagram; and compares the difference temperature and the threshold value to detect the presence/absence of a person.
