A person judging device capable of making the same judgment even between temporally separate frames and between frames captured by different cameras. The device judges whether or not the persons appearing in different image sequences are the same person, and comprises a walking posture detecting unit (200) for detecting first and second walking sequences which are image sequences representing the walking states of first and second persons appearing in an image sequence, a walking state deducing unit (180) for deducing the transition state of the walking posture during the periodical walking of the first person at a time or position different from that of the walking sequence of the first person on the basis of the walking sequence of the first person, and a judging unit (190) for judging the conformance between the deduced transition state of the walking posture of the first person and the transition state of the walking posture of the second person and judging, if they conforms, that the first and second persons are the same person.
