Abstract:
A person lookup system equipped with a vehicle, and with a database connected to the vehicle via a prescribed communication line. The vehicle is equipped with: a vehicle-mounted camera provided in front of the driver's seat; a generation unit that generates driver facial image information by capturing a facial image of the driver with the vehicle-mounted camera; a position information acquisition unit that acquires vehicle position information; and a transmission unit that transmits the driver facial image information and the position information to the database. The database is equipped with: a lookup subject storage unit that stores searcher facial image information based on facial images of a lookup subjects; a comparison unit that compares the driver facial image information transmitted by the transmission unit with the searcher facial image information; and a position information storage unit that, when the result of the comparison by the comparison unit is that the driver facial image information matches the searcher facial image information, stores the position information transmitted by the transmission unit in association with the search subject.
