- a second inflatable armband (30B), for being worn on a second arm (36B) of said user; and

- at least one strap (24), fixed to said first inflatable armband (30A) and to said second inflatable armband (30B), for crossing straightly therebetween, and being configured to limit a distance between said first (30A) and second (30B) inflatable armbands, and to be disposed at a back of said user,

wherein said at least one strap (24) comprises:

- a first length limiting subsidiary strap (12A) for being attached to said first inflatable armband (30A);

- a second length limiting subsidiary strap (12A) for being attached to said second inflatable armband

(30B); and

- a lock (16, 18), disposed at a center between said first (30A) and second (30B) inflatable armbands, thereby said lock (16, 18) is configured to be disposed at a center of said user's back between said user's first (36A) and second (36B) arms, being a non-accessible location to fingers of said user.

2. A personal flotation device (10) according to claim 1, wherein said lock (16, 18) comprises a removable key (28), being non-accessible to a non-authorized person. 3. A personal flotation device (10) according to claim 1, wherein said at least one strap (24) comprises an elastic region (32), for pulling said first inflatable armband (30A) towards said second inflatable armband (30B), for not allowing said user to draw said inflatable armbands away from each other.

Description:
PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to the field of personal flotation device. More particularly, the invention relates to a personal flotation device for children and irresponsible persons.

BACKGROUND

Inflatable armbands are excellent in that they are not a nuisance to the wearing person.

However, there is a problem in that a child may remove his inflatable armband.

SUMMARY

A personal flotation device, including:

- two inflatable armbands!

- a strap disposed between the armbands, for not allowing the user to draw the inflatable armbands away from each other! and

- a lock.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Fig. 1 depicts a personal flotation device according to one embodiment of the invention.

A personal flotation device 10, according to one embodiment of the invention, includes a first inflatable armband 30A, for wearing thereof on a first arm! a second inflatable armband 30B, for wearing thereof on a second arm! and a strap 24 therebetween, which its length is adjustable.

Fig. 2 depicts a first member of the personal flotation device of Fig. 1, according to one embodiment. Fig. 3 depicts a second member of the personal flotation device of Fig. 1, according to the embodiment of Fig. 2.

According to the embodiment of Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, personal flotation device 10 includes member 34A and 34B, in which member 34A includes first inflatable armband 30A and a strap 12A; and member 34B includes second inflatable armband 30B and a strap 12B; wherein strap 24 of Fig. 1 includes straps 12A and 12B.

Fig. 4 depicts the first step of wearing the personal flotation device of Figs. 2 and 3.

At the first step, the user may wear first inflatable armband 30A on left arm 36A, and may wear second inflatable armband 30B on right arm 36A, as shown by directions 26, such that straps 12A and 12B are disposed behind the back 22 of the user.

Fig. 5 depicts the second and third steps of wearing the personal flotation device of Figs. 2 and 3.

At the second step, a second user adjusts the length of strap 24 to a position which does not allow the first user to draw inflatable armband 30A away from inflatable armband 30B.

Thus, only the second user or any other external user is able to remove inflatable armbands 30A and 30B.

Fig. 6 focuses on a slit of Fig. 5.

Strap 24 includes a slit 18. Fig. 7 depicts a key for inserting thereof into the slit of

Fig. 6.

Referring again to Fig. 5, at the third step, the second user may insert a key 28 of Fig. 7 into slit 20, for locking a lock 18, for determining the length.

Thus, according to this embodiment only the second user is able to remove inflatable armbands 30A and 30B; and any other external user, such as non-sensible friend, cannot remove inflatable armbands 30A and 30B. Fig. 8 depicts the personal flotation device of Fig. 1 according to another embodiment.

According to another embodiment, inflatable armband 30A, inflatable armband 30B, and strap 24 may constitute a non-separable part.

The disallowing of the user to draw the inflatable armbands away from each other may be obtained by locking the strap (24). The locking of the strap (24) may be obtained by a removable key (28). The key may either be unique, or it may be forbidden to be present in a swimming pool.

The strap (24) may include an elastic region (32), for pulling the first inflatable armband (30A) towards the second inflatable armband (30B), for not allowing the user to draw the inflatable armbands away from each other. The strap (24) may include a first subsidiary strap (12A) for being attached to the first inflatable armband (30A), and a second subsidiary strap (12A) for being attached to the second inflatable armband (30B), thereby the personal flotation device (10) may include a first member (34A) including the first inflatable armband (30A), and a second member (34B) including the second inflatable armband (30B).
