Abstract:
Provided are a pest control composition having excellent efficacy in controlling pests, and a method for controlling pests. The pest control composition contains: a fused imidazole compound represented by formula (1) (In the formula, A1 and A2 represent a nitrogen atom or the like, R1, R2, R3, and R4 represent a halogen atom or the like, R5 represents a C1-6 chain hydrocarbon group or the like which may be substituted by a halogen atom, R6 and R7 represent a halogen-substituted C1-4 chain hydrocarbon group or the like, and n represents 0 or 1.); and at least one type of neonicotinoid compound selected from a group consisting of clothianidin, nitenpyram, thiamethoxam, imidacloprid, acetamiprid, dinotefuran, and thiacloprid.
