Abstract:
Provided are: a pesticide which exhibits an excellent pesticidal effect, and also exhibits low toxicity and soil contamination; and a method for producing the same. The pesticide contains a fatty acid metabolite obtained by causing proteobacteria to metabolize a C4-30 fatty acid in an environment having a dissolved oxygen concentration of 0.1-8mg/l. The method for producing the pesticide containing the fatty acid metabolite includes a fatty acid metabolism step for causing proteobacteria to metabolize a C4-30 fatty acid in an environment having a dissolved oxygen concentration of 0.1-8mg/l.
