Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a PET fiber-rubber composite that achieves excellent strength and excellent low rolling resistance when applied to a tire, without increasing the total fineness of cords or sheet thickness. In order to solve the abovementioned problem, a sheet-shaped PET fiber-rubber composite according to the present invention is obtained by coating PET fiber cords with a coating rubber and characterized by satisfying expression (1). (1): (A/B)/total cord fineness ≥ 0.3
A: cord strength (N) × fiber occupancy; fiber occupancy: cross-sectional area (mm2) of PET fiber cords / (thickness (mm) of composite × (diameter (mm) of PET fiber cords + inter-cord distance (mm) of PED fiber cords)). B: tan δ of coating rubber × rubber occupancy; rubber occupancy: 1 - fiber occupancy; total cord fineness: total of fineness of PET fibers constituting cords.
