Abstract:
Disclosed is pet food which contains an unsaturated fatty acid-containing fat or oil and has high storage stability and palatability.
Specifically disclosed is pet food which is characterized by containing the following components (A)-(D).
(A) a fat or oil that contains, as a constituent fatty acid, an unsaturated fatty acid having two or more double bonds
(B) a mineral component that is selected from among iron, an iron compound, copper and a copper compound
(C) one or more substances that are selected from among citric acid and salts thereof
(D) one or more substances that are selected from among lecithin and rosemary extracts
The pet food is also characterized in that the total amount of the component (C) is not less than 10 times the component (B) in molar ratio.
