Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pet food such as for senior cats for which strict control of mineral components is required, wherein mineral components are strictly controlled and quality is made consistent, while at the same time, excellent palatability is also obtained. In this pet food, a plant-derived protein raw material is blended in the pet food at a ratio of 12% by mass to 20% by mass, an animal-derived protein raw material is blended in the pet food at a ratio of 20% by mass, the bulk specific gravity of each granule is 39.0 g/100 mL to 46.0 g/100 mL, and the width of variation of mineral content for each product lot per ten product lots is no greater than 1.0%.
