Abstract:
A pet search system (100), provided with tags (40) attached to pets (9), a reader device (20) capable of reading pet information from a tag (40), a communication terminal device (30) into which the pet information read by the reader device (20) is taken, and a server (50) capable of communicating with the communication terminal device (30). Owner information that includes contact location details for an owner of a pet (9) is registered in advance on the server (50) in association with the pet information. If unknown pet information, which is read by the reader device (20) from the tag (40) of a pet (9) for which the owner is unknown and transmitted to the server (50) via the communication terminal device (30), matches pet information registered in advance in the server (50), the server (50) transmits discovery information to the contact location details included in the owner information.
