Title:
PH-SENSITIVE BLOCK COPOLYMER CONTAINING CINNAMALDEHYDE DERIVATIVES, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/058252
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pH-sensitive block copolymer containing cinnamaldehyde derivatives, and to a method for preparing same. The pH-sensitive block copolymer containing cinnamaldehyde derivatives according to the present invention forms micelles to enable the cinnamaldehyde derivatives to be retained in the body for a longer period of time. The micelles may be disintegrated, and the acetal bond to which the cinnamaldehyde derivatives are connected dissociates in the slightly acid pH of the cancer tissue, which thus generate and release cinnamaldehyde derivatives. The thus-released cinnamaldehyde derivatives may act specifically on cancer cells and thus may have less toxicity on normal cells. Therefore, the cinnamaldehyde derivatives have anti-cancer effects per se, and encapsulate an anti-cancer agent as a drug carrier and deliver the anti-cancer agent to the cancer cells.
