Disclosed is a pH sensitive water-absorbent resin for a cement slurry in oil well and use thereof consisting of distilled water, a polymerable monomer, a mixed auxiliary agent, a crosslinking agent and an initiator, wherein the amount of the polymerizable monomer is 30-100% of the mass of the distilled water, the amount of the mixed auxiliary agent is 16-67% of the mass of the polymerizable monomer, the amount of the crosslinking agent is 0.2-1% of the mass of the polymerizable monomer, and the amount of the initiator is 0.4-1% of the mass of the polymerizable monomer. The pH sensitive water-absorbing resin prepared by the invention, when added into the cement slurry in the oil well, has less water absorption in an alkaline environment of the cement slurry, thereby greatly reducing the influence of the water-absorbing resin on the rheological properties of the cement slurry in the oil well and the compressive strength of the cement stone after being cured, and also ensures the successful implementation of cementing operations; the water-absorbing resin has a large water absorption in a neutral water environment in the formation, and can absorb water and expand when encountering formation water passing through microcracks and blocking the microcracks, thus realizing self-sealing of the microcracks in oil well cement stone when encountering water.
