Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a composite medicinal herb extract as an active ingredient for prevention or treatment of cancer and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract from a mixture of Amomum villosum, Poria cocos Wolf., Fritillaria ussuriensis, Cyperus rotundus, Aucklandia lappa Decne., Cirsium japonicum, Areca catechu, and Cannabis sativa seeds as an active ingredient for prevention or treatment of cancer. With the efficacy of exhibiting cytotoxicity against lung cancer cell lines, generating intracellular reactive oxygen species to induce cell death, suppressing inflammatory cytokines in sera, and increasing immunomodulators, the composite extract of the present invention can be advantageously used for preventing or treating cancer.
