Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising vitrified periodontal tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells for prevention or treatment of male infertility. The pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of male infertility according to the present invention recovers sex hormone levels in seminiferous tubules of atrophic testes and blood to normal levels through improvement in the activity of lipid metabolism enzymes in the liver, thereby exhibiting remarkable prophylactic and therapeutic effects on male infertility. In addition, the periodontal tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells which are an active ingredient in the present invention can be obtained in the most non-invasive manner and as such, are expected to be advantageously used as a cell therapy product for male infertility.
