Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating depression, the pharmaceutical composition comprising osmotin consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or osmotin-peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 as an active ingredient. In addition, the present invention relates to a health functional food composition for preventing or alleviating depression, the health functional food composition comprising osmotin consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or osmotin-peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 as an active ingredient.
