Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of allergic diseases, containing a rose extract as an active ingredient. Particularly, the rose extracts of the varieties of love shy, red perfume, onnuri, jaemina red, pretty velvet, hanggina, and ice wing, according to the present invention, have excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities and a high content of a 1,2,3-benzenetriol compound that exhibits anti-allergic activity, suppress the degranulation of mast cells, and, in a mouse animal model, significantly suppress Anaphylactic shock, which is acute systemic allergy, and itching, which is local allergy, and thus can be effectively used in the treatment of allergic diseases.
