Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating an alpha herpes virus infection, containing, as an active ingredient, an Elaeocarpus sylvestris extract or a fraction thereof, and can effectively prevent, treat, or alleviate an alpha herpes virus and diseases caused thereby, such as dartre, encephalitis, genital herpes, chicken pox, or herpes zoster.
