Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition, for preventing or treating hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis, comprising 8-OHdG or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of same; a method for preventing or treating hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis by means of the pharmaceutical composition; and a food composition, for remedying hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis, comprising 8-OHdG or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of same. By means of the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis of the present invention, the level of various markers having increased expression levels due to induced hepatic fibrosis can be decreased and thus the pharmaceutical composition can widely be utilized for effective prevention or treatment of hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis induced by the hepatic fibrosis.
