Abstract:

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for cancer treatment. More specifically, the pharmaceutical composition for cancer treatment comprises an ionic compound in which two different compounds selected from among ascorbic acid, dichloroacetic acid, and lactate, are bound to calcium ions, wherein as the compounds different from each other are simultaneously taken up by cancer cells, said compounds act on main metabolizing enzymes having different mechanisms from each other, thereby interfering with cancer cell metabolism in a multiplicative and complex manner. Thus, the pharmaceutical composition for cancer treatment exhibits a superior therapeutic effect than that of an anticancer drug focused on a single mutation or on a cancer cell growth signal; and is less vulnerable to the emergence of drug resistance, and thus, can more effectively suppress activities of cancer cells, such as proliferation, invasion, and migration.
