Abstract:
Provided is a medicinal use of an LPA1 antagonist, for example, an α halogen-substituted thiophene compound having a specific structure, or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, as a drug for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of NASH. Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for treatment and/or prophylaxis of NASH, the composition having, as an active ingredient, an LPA1 antagonist, for example, a compound represented by general formula (I): [in the formula, R1 indicates a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group; R2 indicates a hydrogen atom or a C1-C6 alkyl group; X indicates a halogen atom; and A indicates a group selected from the group consisting of groups (II)] or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
