Abstract:
Compositions to be incorporated in products with hypoglycemizing, anti-oxidant, vasoprotective and anti-hyperlipemic activity, or in products recommended for the treatment of anaemias and states or iron deficiency, the compositions being based on chromium (III) or iron (III) salts or complexes with a-lipoic acid or with the corresponding kihydrolipoic acid (chromium lipoate and iron lipoate), which make chromium and iron easily absorbable and improve their bioavailability. The invention also concerns the use of one or more chromium (III) or iron (III) salts or complexes with a-lipoic acid or with the corresponding dihydrolipoic acid for the production of nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or veterinary preparations.
