Abstract:
This phase array antenna device (1), which receives a signal from a satellite, is provided with: antenna arrays (21 - 2m) which includes antenna elements (311 - 3m) and phase shifters (511 – 5mn) which shift, by set phase shift values, the phases of received signals received by the antenna elements (311 – 3mn); a demodulator (8) which demodulates the signals which have been received from the satellite and of which phases have been shifted by the phase shifters (511 – 5mn) and output the demodulated signals; a controller (9) which sets the phase shift values of the phase shifters (511 – 5mn) and controls a beam direction. The controller (9) calculates direction correcting phase shift values that make a power value of the signal from the satellite maximum when the direction correcting phase shift values are added to the phase shift values of the phase shifters (511 - 51n, 521 - 52n, •••, 5m1 - 5mn) for each sub-array (21 – 2m), and adds the direction correcting phase shift values to the phase shift values of the phase shifters (511 - 51n, 521 - 52n, •••, 5m1 - 5mn) for each sub-array (21 – 2m).
