Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a compound that is useful as a nitrogen monoxide production accelerator and/or endothelial nitrogen monoxide synthetic enzyme activator. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The phenethylnicotinamide compound as an active ingredient of proposed drugs exerts a bloodstream circulation improving effect according to excellent vascular endothelial nitrogen monoxide production accelerating potency and/or endothelial nitrogen monoxide synthetic enzyme activating potency. The proposed drugs are useful for relief of pathological conditions or diseases caused by vascular endothelial malfunction, especially as a therapeutic agent for peripheral arterial obstruction, arteriosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, etc.
